As African nations accelerate efforts to achieve universal energy access and build resilient, low-carbon economies, the conversation around clean energy has become more urgent. Africa is redefining how power can drive progress from innovative financing to modern grid solutions.
In this episode of the LADIES podcast, The Electricity Hub spoke with Carol Koech, Vice-President for Africa at the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, an organisation driving transformative investments in clean energy access and sustainable growth across the continent. Under Carol’s leadership, the Alliance is championing bold initiatives such as the $7 million mini- and metro-grid investment in the DRC, and supporting Mission 300, a global effort to connect 300 million Africans to electricity by 2030.
In this conversation, we explored her vision for Africa’s energy transition, the innovation shaping the Alliance’s work, and what it takes to turn partnerships into real impact for people and the planet.
